If you’re interested in the University Applications Made Easy course but have questions, we have provided some answers below. Should you still have questions after reading this, do not hesitate to contact us.
Can my Year 12 teen attend?
Absolutely! Often and again, I meet many Year 13 parents and one of the first things they tell me is, “I wish I knew this when my child was in Year 12.” Arguably Year 12 is the best time to start preparing so that by the start of Year 13, the student would have done all the enriching extra curricular activities needed for their personal statement AND in fact be ready with the first draft. Having said that, those who are in Year 13 will benefit immensely from attending especially as they will be applying the knowledge gained imminently. Moreover they still have some time to catch up on additional activities, if needed, before they submit their application.
How will it help my teen?
Those who attend will:
- Recognise what they should be doing right now, so that their personal statement is rich in content.
- Understand what the top universities need from them
- Identify what to include or leave out of their personal statement
- Know the difference between the personal statement for an academic course and a vocational one
- Have an idea of tests and additional work they may have to undertake
- Be better positioned to create a plan of action for success
What is included?
The course is made up of a series of videos followed by quizzes to assess progress and some very useful checklists that can be downloaded. There is also at least one live Q&A included.
Is it for parents or students?
Both. Although it is mainly for the students, parents can also login and go through the material. Such parents will be better placed to support their children through the process.
Where is it?
The course is online so you do not have the stress of traveling. You can go through the materials from the comfort of your home or anywhere you prefer using the device of choice ie laptop or smart phone.
When is it?
The course materials are available immediately, however you can go through it on demand which makes it very convenient for you. That means you can pause, rewind or review any of the materials as many times as you like, at any time you like for 150 days from your purchase date.
What if my teen has questions after taking the course?
I will be hosting a live Q&A session for all course participants on 25th September 2021. Those who have enrolled on the course will be asked to send me their questions ahead of the live session where we will go through them. The Q&A session will also be recorded and made available to all enrolled students therefore if for any reason a participant cannot make the live session, they can watch the replay.
I hope you join us and really look forward to seeing you at the live Q&A!
