  5. TLA Black Women In Tech is collaborating with Apple so that more black women and girls in tech can work with the most exciting tech company in the world. You can find out more by attending one of their inspiring virtual careers events from 24-26 Jan. It’s free but you need to register now.

  6. Do you have a keen interest in film and TV? One of the 12-month entry-level roles at Apple could be for you. The program starts in July 2022 and there are opportunities to stay at Apple in a permanent position after. Closing 31-Jan.

  1. Target Bath is a free programme that supports students of UK-based Black African and Caribbean heritage in Year 12 to gain places at the University of Bath. The programme provides support throughout Year 12 and 13. It will support you with subject choice and preparing for the UCAS process. You will also be offered a place on Discover Bath, the free summer residential programme. Closing 30-Jan.
  2. Target Oxbridge is a free programme that aims to help UK-based Black African and Caribbean students in Year 12 increase their chances of getting into the Universities of Oxford or Cambridge. The success rate of their students has been over 40% for a number of years now, which is double the average success rate for Oxbridge applicants. Closing end Jan.
  3. Are you in Year 13 and do you want to earn and learn whilst you get your degree? Vodafone has two Level 6 degree apprenticeships that may be of interest. The HR Degree Apprenticeship leads to BA (Hons) in Business Management, specialising in HR; and the Cyber Security Degree Apprenticeship leads to a BSc (Hons) Cyber Security Technical Professional degree.   14. Smart Futures is a 10-month programme at EY that starts with paid work experience. Apply if you’re in Year 12 and meet the means-testing criteria.
  15. PWC is running a dragon’s den type summer programme for School Years 7-9 students. While intended to be viewed in class, students can cover the programme on their own on demand. The previous autumn 2020 and spring 2021 programmes are also still available.
